スクビーイングリッシュの先生にインタビューシリーズ第３回！

長年、スクビーイングリッシュで勤めているブラッド先生の登場です。

Where are you from?
I’m from Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada.
It’s very cold in winter. It sometimes even becomes -40~50℃ in January and February.

カナダのほぼ中央下に位置するウィニペグ。
マイナス50度の寒さなんて想像できないですよね。
ブラッド先生にとって徳島の真冬はウィニペグの９月ぐらいの感覚なんだそうです。

Because winter is so long, people in Winnipeg enjoy winter sports and also enjoy outdoor activities in summer such as camping, hunting and barbecuing.
I started playing ice hockey right after I started walking.
There was a big ice hockey arena near my house so I used to play and watch it there.
I am a big fan of Winnipeg Jets.

Do you often go camping in Tokushima?
Yes. I’ve already been around Shikoku for six times.
My family also like camping.

ブラッド先生にはお子さんが３人いて、料理や家のことが何でも出来る頼もしいパパなんです！

We visited Winnipeg last year to see my family.
I took my son to a local hamburger shop and we ordered the same combo which is quite big.
I didn’t think he could finish it, but he ate the whole burber! That was surprising.
He couldn’t finish the fries though.

大きなハンバーガーと山盛りのポテト、これは食べきれない！

If you have chance to visit Winnipeg, I also reccomend very good gelato.
A shop called “Nucci’s Gelati” have good home-made gelato.
